Welcome to Dost Foundation

DOST is a not-for-profit organisation that was formed in 1992 in Peshawar, Pakistan. Since its inception, it has been reaching out to people living on the margins of society, and bringing them back into the mainstream. DOST works with street children, drug addicts, destitute women, prisoners, refugees, youth and the general public. It strives to restore to them their lives, their dignity, and their humanity, and to bring them back as contributing members of society.

 

VISION:

DOST's vision is of a society where the most marginalized and stigmatized groups have access to rights based and needs based  services, to empower and heal them in body, mind and spirit and enable them to live productive and fulfilling lives.

 

MISSION:

DOST is committed to provide Needs based and Rights based services in:

  • HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Support
  • Human Rights Protection of Vulnerable groups
  • Human Resource Development of all stakeholders
